You will feel itchy around the penis, vagina or anus. You may see black powder in your pants or see pubic lice and eggs on your pubic hair.

How can I get rid of it?

A special shampoo from the chemist will get rid of this. Remember though, you may have another infection at the same time, so it is always important to have a check-up at your local sexual health clinic.

What will happen if I don’t get it treated?

The pubic lice will continue to spread as their eggs hatch. You must have treatment.
